Hey, I’m Amanda! Welcome to Purple Rose Crafts. My hobby over the past 25+ years has been crochet, but over the past 8 years I have become an avid knitter as well. Crocheting for me has been a passion that I love. I spent so many hours making newborn and preemie hats for the local hospital. I loved making baby hats because I got a ton of practice with both knitting and crochet and was able to experiment with a ton of different patterns, colours and stitches.
I am a Canadian mom, wife, business owner, and my life is all about those gorgeous little girls in my photo above. Because the photo is black and white, its hard to tell but we were all wearing pink shirts for their school’s anti-bullying campaign that the schools here participate in, and I love showing my kids how to be kind to everyone and how to help build up each other. Teaching my kids how to grow into the kind of people who help others, are hard workers and likely entrepreneurs, is very near to my heart.
