Day 26: How to Knit Sand Stitch

Today’s stitch pattern is sand stitch. It’s a simple and easy, suitable for beginners. It’s an easy 4 row repeat, but 2 of the rows are just knit across. This one is similar to our seed stitch and Simple Seed we’ve done previously.

The pattern is a simple knit and purl stitch pattern. What kinds of things do you want to try this pattern on? I recommend trying it in a hat pattern, or a scarf, or even a blanket pattern. I would love to see what you can create with this pattern! Try it in a sweater or even a dishcloth.

I am using Caron Skinny cakes for this tutorial and 4.0mm knitting needles.
