Day 9: How to Crochet Larksfoot Stitch

How much fun is this Larksfoot stitch? It looks difficult, but its actually really simple! Let’s Go!

Larksfoot Stitch

Multiples of 4+3 stitches

Row 1: DC into the 3rd chain from your hook, dc in next st, ch, skip 1 stitch, *3dc, ch1, skip 1* dc at the end of the row.

Row 2: ch2, dc into each stitch across.

Row 3: ch2, skip 1, *dc into the base of the dc in row below the current st, long dc into the base of the stitch 2 rows below (once you’ve worked a few rows this will be the chain space), dc into the dc 1 row below, chain and skip 1 stitch* Repeat across.

Row 4 & every EVEN row after this: Repeat Row 2.

Row 5: ch 2, *long dc into the chain space 2 rows back, dc over the dc 1 row below, chain, skip 1 stitch at the top, dc over the one below* Repeat across ending with a dc at the top.

Repeat rows 2-5 changing colours after each even row.
