How to Crochet: African Flower Granny Square!

Such a pretty African flower design! However, a small disclaimer, this is not an original pattern of mine, but I don’t know who the original owner of the pattern is, otherwise I would provide it for you. I found this square a number of years ago, and unfortunately, there are so many versions of it online, I can’t find the original owner, though I did look. So, if this is your design, please send me a message, an email, or carrier pigeon, and link me to your pattern, and I will gladly give you your due credit, because I just love it so. 🙂

Now, for those of you that would like to know how to make this beautiful square, the pattern is below! It looks a little complicated, but it’s not. Really! To help though, I’ve made a video tutorial to go along with the pattern. It is linked below as well. In the video, I also talk about how to do the treble crochet, as well as changing colours, fastening off and weaving in ends.

These are some beginner techniques that I didn’t cover in the beginner crochet video and blog post, posted prior. If you haven’t seen that video, and you’ve come here looking to learn how to crochet and make a granny square blanket, then check out this post, and this video to learn the basics we talk about in this pattern.
