Broken rib knit stitch is a very simple and beginner-friendly stitch to get you used to working knits and purls, back and forth, but it has the added benefit of having the whole right side row being all knit stitches, so it can work up more quickly than a straight seed stitch, which we’ve done before. It would be a lovely scarf, and I find it to be a nice masculine style of stitch which makes it perfect for a men’s item.
We’re going to use this stitch to make a fun and easy cowl that’ll keep you nice and warm this winter! Check out the pattern for our cowl below! I also used this stitch to make the knit baby blanket pattern. I tried to make it nice and easy, even a beginner knitter could make it.
